Meet Mona Teresa Piontek – a German actress and filmmaker armed with a Masters in Education, currently based in Berlin. Originally hailing from northern Germany, Teresa’s life map includes pit stops in the US, Northern Ireland, and Australia. She kickstarted her acting journey by studying Screen Acting at Catalyst Institute, setting the stage for a diverse career. Before diving into the film world, she was navigating the world as a high school teacher.

Teresa has starred in several short films, the feature Shadows of a Wasteland, and is part of the German TV series Dr. Nice. She is represented by the agency Stützinger.

She not only enjoys to bring characters to life in front of the camera but also likes to work behind the camera as producer. Her most recent project was the short film Filth, directed by Mae Sass. Furthermore, Teresa is a screenplay and novel writer. Though her writing roots lie in short film scripts, she’s currently working on turning one of them, Between Worlds, into a feature film.

Teresa is passionate about creating a more inclusive film world, welcoming all genders, skin-colors, shapes and sizes as well as striving for togetherness.

Mona Teresa Piontek ist eine deutsche Schauspielerin und Filmemacherin mit einem Master in Pädagogik. Teresa lebt in Berlin, stammt aber ursprünglich aus Norddeutschland und hat mehrere Jahre in den USA, Nordirland und Australien gelebt. Ihre schauspielerische Reise begann mit dem Screen Acting Studium am Catalyst Institute. Bevor sie in die Filmwelt eintauchte, arbeitete sie als Gymnasiallehrerin.

Teresa hat in mehreren Kurzfilmen sowie dem Spielfilm Shadows of a Wasteland und ist Teil des Ensembles der Fernsehserie Dr. Nice. Sie wird von der Agentur Stützinger vertreten.

Es macht ihr nicht nur Spaß, Charaktere vor der Kamera zum Leben zu erwecken, sondern sie arbeitet auch gerne als Produzentin hinter der Kamera. Ihr jüngstes Projekt war der Kurzfilm Filth unter der Regie von Mae Sass. Darüber hinaus ist Teresa Drehbuch- und Romanautorin. Obwohl ihre schriftstellerischen Wurzeln in Kurzfilmdrehbüchern liegen, arbeitet sie derzeit daran, eines davon, Between Worlds, in einen Spielfilm umzuwandeln.

Teresa setzt sich dafür ein, eine integrativere Filmwelt zu schaffen, die alle Geschlechter, Hautfarben, Formen und Größen willkommen heißt und nach Zusammengehörigkeit strebt.
